Learning Reflection

Question - A conclusion on what the Whare tapa wha is and how it illustrates Hauora

Whare tape wha is about a model of the 4 dimensions of well being to provide a Māori perspective on health like taha hinengaro mental/emotional well being and taha wairua spiritual well being and taha whānau family well being and last taha tinana physical well being.

Whare Tapawha model for all New ZealandersThis is useful to understand because One model for understanding Māori health is the concept of 'te whare tapa whā the four cornerstones or sides of Māori health With its strong foundations and four equal sides the symbol of the wharenui illustrates the four dimensions of Māori well-being and therefore making something that is now used around world

SPACE

what is the main idea of the text

it's teaching us abut Atrobiology it's the study of life in outer space. Astrobiology scientists look for conditions needed for life like liquid water a good temperature or the presence of oxygen. Some possible places to find life in the solar system are moons of Jupiter or moons of Saturn. These places may have liquid water.  They may be too cold to support life on their surfaces but if they have liquid water the water must be warm enough to support life.  Astrobiologists think that there may be a liquid water ocean under their surfaces. and about Extraterrestrial life that is about life that is not from the planet Earth. It is alien life. It is possible that planets like ours exist and that life  might start there also. So far none has been found though it is possible that life once existed on Mars. Searches have been made for signals from extraterrestrial life-forms. No signals have been received. This is not a new idea. Quite a few scientists have written about their guesses on the existence of other planets like ours with the  idea that what happened on Earth could also happen there. One thing we do know is that many other star systems do  have exoplanets. and last but not least is exoplanet is a planet from outside our own solar system. Estimates of the number of exoplanets in the Milky Way ranged from 17 billion to 144 billion. One estimate studied planets seen by the Kepler space observatory. Among them are 461 Earth-size planets at least four of which  are in the habitable zone where liquid water can exist. One of the four named Kepler 69c is 1.5 times the size of the Earth and  around a star like our own Sun – about as near as we have to finding an Earth 2.0

Astrobiologists think there are at least 100 billion planets similar to our in our galaxy an average of at least one per star. There are  also planets that orbit tiny stars and free-floating planets that orbit the galaxy directly just as the stars do. It is unclear whether either  type should be called a planet.

WING CHUN

People say that wing chun was invented by a woman who was in a shaolin class and invented the techinech wing chun Wing Chun is practiced globally, in over 64 countries. It is the world's most popular form of Southern Kung Fu.

Bruce Lee popularized wing chun and based his style on many of wing chun Wing chun can be considered to be a foundation of Jeet Kune Do but did you know how Bruce Lee actually learnt wing chun you see along time ago around 1 October 1893 a guy named yip man had been studying a kung fu named wing chun and when he was older he went to war using the technique but that was not the end of it after the war he went back to china and trained in his private house and after all his fights he finally taught wing chun and that was the history of how Bruce Lee came into the picture

When Yip man was on the streets of foshan trouble would always come his way so fighting was the only answer to everything the first ever person who wanted to fight Yip man was a kung fu master the fight was over quite soon and ip man had beaten the kung fu master and is now respected through china although as ip man had his son he did not know that his wife Cheung wing sing had cancer and later had died in 1960 in foshan and as Yip man and his son Yip ching got older and was expelled from schools around china and so yip man had to go to america and found a school for his son and later Yip man died in 1972 in hong kong but before he died he taught his son wing chun before he died.

EOTC Reflections

The EOTC are the best days we had there were three days of it, first was Adrenaline Forest and then was Jellie Park and last was the City

First of all Adrenaline Forest was so scary to me. When we got there although when I heard we were going to the playground I was so relieved for a bit it was a good time as we were playing on the playground. We played on the flying fox and slides and the basketball court there was a spiderweb and mini golf but all liked was the flying fox and the Adrenaline Forest was so fun.

Second day was Jellie Park and that was the most fun we all had fun when me and the boys went to the Hydroslide and when it got packed we went to the diving board and swimming pool and the best part was the fish n chips and then going back for another swim was more better I also liked the long Hydroslide cause we could have our mates there and go down at the same time that was the best day ever.

And last, the City now that was interesting it was kinda fun. When went to the library there were quite a lot to see, me and the boys went around the library and completed nearly all the activities. After we finished we went on the computers and played the games on it and the we played some chess but the best part would have to be Margaret Mahy Park cause we played tag and messed around a little bit but it was a good day to get out of class.
