Today we learnt about Sir Ernest Rutherford Sir Ernest Rutherford was born in the 1870s and died when he was 66, he was a New Zealand physicist known for his prizes in physics and chemistry. His greatest experiment took place in 1909 right after when he got his Nobel prize, the experiment was called the gold foil experiment Sir Ernest Rutherford also won these prizes
Discovered the alpha and beta radioactivity
discovery of the atomic nucleus
discovered the proton
Nobel prize in chemistry
